The first two chapters of the book was perplexing to me; 3. The story itself was vibrant and lively. It's difficult to get a coherent version, the text being so old.
He had a good side, but his bad side was shown. I have similar problems with the Bible, Homer, and so on.

While Rama develops throughout this epic, Sita remains flat and acts as a source for plot points. Bharat was happy to pass on to him anyway. Narayan devotes what must have been an entire page to praise for Kamban's ingenuity, and while in this case Narayan did succeed in giving a suitable translation for a charming passage about the already-wedded couples that were in the procession, we are told just enough to make us crave the splendor of Kamban's rxmayana, and forced to move on without it.
Btw, I told you, you would have narayxn this job 14 years ago anyway. Narayan, is based on the Tamil version written by Kamban the original is in Sanskrit, instead.

Sep 14, Corinne rated it it was amazing Shelves: Rama, the favourite son of the King of Ayodhya and an incarnation of the god Vishnu, is married to Sita, whom he has conquered by managing to wield the incredibly heavy bow of god Shiva owned by her father, the King of Narsyan.
